This didn’t come from a business plan.
It came from being in the room.
We were at a home for an Arizona Shutter Company appointment, completely unrelated to windows.
Just measuring. Talking through shutters. Normal project.
Then the homeowner casually mentioned:
“We’re also getting our windows replaced.”
No big deal at first.
Until they showed us the quote.
The original quote was just over $41,000.
Then came the part that really stood out.
They were offered a “same-day discount” that brought it down to around $29,000.
Same windows. Same house. Same scope.
Just… a different number depending on the timing.
That’s when it stopped being about windows.
Because we already had:
We decided to look at it from our side.
Just: “What would this actually cost to do correctly?”
We priced the entire project out. Windows. Labor. Materials. Buffer for unknowns. Everything included.
The project could realistically be completed for about $24,000.
Let that sit for a second.
From $41,000…
to $29,000…
to about $24,000.
That’s not a small difference.
That’s over a 40% swing on the exact same type of project.
And when you’re talking about numbers that large…
That’s real money.
That’s when the idea became clear:
There needed to be a better way to offer window replacement in Phoenix without all the extra layers driving the price up.
Not from trying to be cheaper.
From seeing how much unnecessary cost was built into the process.
And deciding to remove it.
Same brand of windows.
Same level of installation.
Just a completely different way of getting there.
